Daemonology as infrastructure
Does life begin with a premonition? Our journey in the world, carry many blind movement, at time joy, irritation, and in another betrayal, and reorientation that inevitably, appears as more than episode but signs. Slowly, a fate covered in inexplicable signs and occurence, start murmuring it's language, that turns the flow of time from an accident, to a necessity. The wrong footnotes disappears, and we may start to call that trajectory a spirit. A spirit neither situated in the self, nor lost in the collective, a signature that interact with the whole, an extra-personal intelligence, that circulate in the world, that some may call archetype, or the ancient the δαίμων(daïmon)
Daemonology arrives as both archaic intuition and modern declaration: the attempt to read the grammar governing symbolic life. To understand how movements occur, what invariants allow symbolic life to circulate, resist, persist, influence, or disappear. It stands at the edge of systems of explanation — philosophy, psychology, neuroscience — approaching but not collapsing into them.
An intellectual appears to solve a political moment, why him, why now? A friendship born in explosive laughter dissolves as quickly as it formed. An artistic collaboration announces a shift in the pendulum and leaves no trace. Cynical or subversive postures reappear in familiar clusters, carrying familiar axioms. Certain figures return in business and politics with recurring physiognomies and tendencies. Why that recurrence? Why those configurations? Daemonology gives structured form to these phenomena, not just their appearance, but the rule of their reappearance: their logic of existence, their solidity, their fragility, their reach, their hosts. That grammar unfolds further in the DRI.
Entire epochs have wagered that education, discipline, inheritance and moral refinement would suffice to elevate man, that exposure to the right ideas would align the soul. The dice kept rising into the air. Daemonology reads that wager differently. The mapping of recurrence suggests that structure precedes instruction, and that configuration resists correction. The cartography of coincidence, slowly revealing its secrets, may force many historical vocations to reconsider their blind impulse.
The consequence is that I cannot act as a philosopher of debate, critique, or meta-irony; nor as a writer pretending to articulate the pain of the epoch; nor as a political or ideological reinforcement; nor as an artist who believes a text or project alone will change the world. No pedagogy, no “great classic”, no theory in isolation suffices once the structure of symbolic life is understood.
Importantly the metaphysics of this, does not seek any salvation, it is not there to uplift, reassure, or consolidate community. It belongs to the harshest category of metaphysics, the one without compensation, that seeks to understand reality exactly as it is and engaging it at depth.
Precisely for that reason, it opens the most radical game: the one capable of engaging every terrain without being reorganized by it. And the ability to open up its own table,midst of saturated games that are often deemed as unsurpassable.
